Bicillin L-A weight-based dosing administration/dispensing

Hello. I was wondering how other institutions dispensed Bicillin L-A when the 50,000 units/kg dose is being used. Do you dispense the whole syringe and have the nurse prepare the dose or do you prepare the dose in pharmacy? If it's prepared in pharmacy, any special precautions taken to avoid IV administration?
